BIOGRAPHY

As a graduate of Algonquin College’s Graphic Design Program, I have enjoyed a career as a graphic designer for the past 16 years. During this time I have had many opportunities to work with both public and private sector clients. I was originally attracted to the profession because it would enable me to use my artistic ability to communicate with a wide audience.

I take special pride in design work that strives to affect social change. Much of my portfolio showcases design targeted to Canada’s Aboriginal communities. Working with these communities to address their unique issues has inspired some of my best design work and has been a very rewarding part of my career. I have also enjoyed working in many other sectors including Health Care, Environmental, Tourism and High Tech. as well as with volunteer and arts organizations in my community. I work in a variety of design and illustration styles and provide a custom approach for each client’s individual requirements.

Effective graphic design is a powerful communication tool. I believe that strong visual communication targets your audience effectively and positively impacts the perception of your business. Successful businesses recognize the value of professional design and the difference it makes to their bottom line. In my opinion, the best design solutions are discovered when the client and designer work closely together.
